NFU Mutual’s Agency in Maisemore, Gloucester is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Adviser.

As a Customer Service Adviser within our growing team, you will play a key role in the success of an established and expanding local business, contributing to the smooth running of the office and ensuring that our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Providing exceptional customer service, you will be the first port of call for our customers whether over the phone or during their visit to our offices in Maisemore. You will handle enquiries, provide motor, personal and commercial insurance quotations and undertake insurance transactions and general sales tasks with a ‘can-do’ proactive attitude. You will also maximise inbound sales opportunities, cross selling to existing clients and assisting with renewal retention by using your excellent telephone manner to make the most of every call.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00.
Salary: £16.5 - £21k dependent on experience.
20 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products. Full training and support will be provided.
Initiate proactive sales activity to create new business opportunities for the Agency
Process customer instructions for policy amendment to meet the required completion standards.
Review and advise upon customer general insurance requirements.
Handle Premium collection.
Always deliver first class levels of customer service.
Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers.
Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of the Agency and NFU Mutual staff.
Obtain customer appointments for our Financial Advisor.
Work within the Compliance Framework required by the Company / Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Use of all Microsoft Office Applications as well as Insurance Policy and Claims Administration Systems. Full training and support will be provided.
Handle Claims as required and to meet completion standards.

Problem solving skills and the ability to use your own initiative as well as work as part of small team.
Have a flexible and open attitude.
Be prompt, reliable and trustworthy.
Be organised and able to work to deadlines as required, manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly.
Insurance or Financial Services experience is advantageous, but not necessary.
Qualifications required:
Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above (Grade 4 or above)
