Introducing the South West region
Welcome to NFU Mutual’s South West region. As a new Agent you’ll be leading your agency that is already a key part of the NFU Mutual Agency Network. It’s a region that is full of potential, and the business growth opportunities open to you and your partner Agent(s) are significant.
After all, NFU Mutual’s reputation has been built upon developing long-standing and effective relationships with both customers and agencies. Our experienced team are here to help you as you develop your agency’s full potential. Because ultimately our success as a region is based on the success of your business.
As Regional Manager, I set, lead and deliver that sales and service strategy for the South West region. Supported by an exceptional regional team, it’s my job to oversee and nurture the relationships between NFU Mutual and each agency across the region and ensure that continuous growth is achieved in a regulatory compliant and customer focused way.
The team are here to help you and your partner Agent(s) as you grow and develop your agency. So you can expect a wide range of support, from facilitating access to leadership and business development training and provision of technical product knowledge training, to support as you develop and execute the growth plans for your business. All designed to help to enable you to achieve your ambitions for your business.

The South West region
Covering Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, the South West region works with agencies in a diverse range of locations. And we serve a wide variety of customers, from farmers to Cornish pasty producers, commercial businesses to High Net Worth individuals.
This means your role as an Agent can vary greatly, as you meet the individual requirements of these different customers. But you’ll have the support of an active regional team. Pulling together, we’ll help you deliver the high-quality service and strong customer loyalty we’re renowned for, so you can build a successful business.

Being a self-employed NFU Mutual Agent means you can make your own decisions. You have total flexibility to grow and develop your team and business in your own way, deciding what’s in the best interests of your business to deliver great client service.
No two days are ever the same. For example, one day I can be talking to an MD of a multi-million-pound business and the next I can be walking around a dairy farm in my wellies. It makes it fun to come to work every day.
